Pure Digital Closes $40 Million Equity Round

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Pure Digital Technologies announced the close of its venture capital financing round, recieving $40 million in new investment from a syndicate of venture capital and private equity investors.

Pure Digital has developed a line of video camera products, including a one-time-user video camera, all designed to upload easily to the Internet.  The funding announcement coincides with the introduction of the company's Flip Video pocket sized digital camcorder and its national advertisign campaign.

Investors in the round included AllianceBernstein, L.P., Morgan Stanley, Heights Capital Management, Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital, Focus Ventures, Crescendo Ventures, VantagePoint Venture Partners and Samsung Ventures.
